hello. browsed through jnc and ended up finding this forum figured id sign up seeing as i own 2 vintage corona's Very Happy sorry if some photos are getting screwed up, figuring out what works on this site

first up is the first classic Toyota i got (and actually for sale) its a 1968 rt43 1900 sedan, 4spd on the tree, bench seats, orig to the car black california plates, sold the grill to a local body shop owner, didn't fit his '67 so i need to get it back from him. needs work overall

second is most favorite is my 1970 corona markii hardtop, currently has a 18-rc w/ w-50 5 spd trans, webber 32/36 dgav carb, its kuyusha styled, plans are for a bigger motor and front suspension redesign. bought it, took it to Torc 3 weeks later,, had fun, few breakdowns, retuned the carb a few times, uhhh doesn't really see the road alot, hope to change that by the end of this year

it has its problems, brake switch/ pedal assembly, few things here and there i want to fix

most recent car i got is a 1973 celica st.... plan to restore it.... but kinda need everything other then the rear end, hahah so if anyone has some leads that'd be awesome

other then those i daily a mk3 vw golf, which actually is taking up most of my wallet, Suspect

thanks for having a forum just to vintage corona's! hope to network and maybe see about getting some parts for both of mine Very Happy

local junk yard tends to have some random classic toyota's from time to time so if you guys need anything from northern california, i can probably take a look if one of the yards has one

cheers from NorCal Very Happy

For the Celica, check [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Oh, and not to be an ass, but it is kinda one of my pet peeves... For all of your cars, it is not 68', it is '68. 68' would be 68 feet. '68 is abbreviated 1968.

on the rt43. pretty much got the car the way it is. was going to be a decent project, then had the chance to get the rt72 from my buddy (yellowsub on jnc, the previous owner and gave it its styling) and ended up losing interest in the sedan.

the markii flares are fiberglass zg's. as far as the underhood, its just the 18rc with a webber 32/36 dgav, replaced the fuel filter a few times, and the godfather horns installed, new alternator. need to fix my exhaust leak from the collector, but new motor will need an entire new exhaust done anyways. once this one is out itll be going into the celica, seems fitting anyways., and yes if your wondering the oil cooler up front is just for looks...hahah it isn't even hooked up.... yet. also going to relocate the horns in between the grill and radiator, clean things up a little bit for now.

heres a pic for the new motor as reference.. haven't picked a couple of them up yet. trying to soon, doing one as a initial get it running motor, the other twin turbo, both mated to a r series trans. my initial measurements of the 1uz seems like it'll fit, but going to hold out on that till i actually test fit it. but have to do a custom front end to use suspension components from a ae86 i'm sure to keep everything from bottoming out and give me clearance around the motor.

@a2ndopinion: fixed it, and yes as a new user to this forum, yep you did.. as for the celica link, thank you, ill be looking into their classifieds.
