Big Bertha says hi from Moreno Valley, CA
Hey sports,
I just joined and I'd like everyone to meet Big Bertha.
She's a 79, 5 speed that's going to endure a lot of loving.
Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me along her chunky path, and thanks to the mods for creating this forum, I have already learned a lot.
I bought the car the day after Christmas for 1250 from a guy in Highland, and we have been through a lot in these past 4 months.
She was stolen about a month and a half ago, and was gone for a little over a week, when I got her back my front driver's side wheel was bent on the inner lip, and had half of the rotor ripped off, and whatever they did, they bottomed out hard. Also my interior was pretty annihilated. But It truly is a blessing I got her back, and she's still Berthing along as my daily, and I couldn't be happier.
I have big plans for Bertha, and as soon as I get my 240 mobile I plan on diving in hard on Bertha.
This is my build so far.
-20r-That I have hopes of rebuilding in the near future, am in desperate need of an exhaust manifold or header.
-Freshly rebuilt stock carb, from Carb exchange, in process of deleting all the emissions stuff.
-Fresh 2 1/4 piping
-Currently fully straight piped, with test pipe. Since the people whole stole her attempted to steal the cat and just left it dangling, and bottomed out in the process. haha
-Knock off Toyota Hilux Fender mirrors
-Fresh drilled rotors up front.
-Pair of KMC Sawblades 15x8.5 -ALOT probably around 50+ in the rear, in the works of fabbing up some flares.
-Pair of either American Racing/kraiger 5 spokes up front 15x9-15
-Godspeed Extended Lugs
-hood risers
