Hello to all my fellow Corona lovers!
My name is Sean, i am a resident of Bellingham, Washington and i scored my 1978 Corona 4dr sedan when i was 12 for 5 dollars from the neighbor this being 12 years of rusting in the field ago i am now starting a full resto on it. The car came stock with the 20R engine, 5 speed manual( with broken linkage), and a "clutch pack posi" rear end. I since fixed the tranny, swapped the tired 20R with a 22R, badass header, and webber... went for a while then blew again.
Now its stripped down to fix body cancer and paint and i would love to set it up with the turbo 4AGE RWD system but dont know much about that "franken-swap" could anybody shed some light on this situation?... plus beefing up the suspension is going to be needed...Thx

Re: Hello to all my fellow Corona lovers!
So that's a 120 series, right? If so, I can't help with suspension, other than the fact that Hilux overload leafs can be swapped in for a couple of the shorter factory leafs, and if put in upside down, will lower the back end as well as stiffening it considerably.
Oh, and BTW, welcome aboard!

Welcome!
First off might I add that a 4A-GE swap might be a little under powered for a heavy rona 4dr. Maybe a 4A-TGE or 4A-ZGE might be better but then thats a whole (expensive) other story. If your looking for power maybe spend your time and money on a 1jz or a 20v black top.
I had a 4A-GE in my AE-86 and I felt it was a little weak at times, but it definitely liked hitting those high RPMs sideways.
