Yea. Its pretty solid. Ive seen cars at shows that have it, its a little more rugged and doesnt take a setup to do. Its just an extra measure against the moisture. Im going to lay some sound insulation throughout and recarpet my trunk. I also cleaned the main carpet....pretty beat but also better that it doesnt smell like 1983.

Just bought a ton of stuff from rockauto:
Ball joints
bushings
radiator hoses
top end gasket set
Also ran up to the store and pick up some screw breaker, some trim paint and one of those cool handles for spray cans like rt85corona vouched for.
Got my dslr repaired yesterday so some artsy shots are coming.

Engine bay still not clean. Back passenger side door wont open and dont have a clue how to get it to without ripping my door panel off and possibly ruining it.
Got a few thing done today inbetween the football game.
Painted some interior/exterior trim. Removed a bunch of chrome trim... etc, etc.

Silver metal paint and some brush on clear gloss. A small brush and a couple hours ( it took 3/4 coats around). I kept loosing my place with the gloss because there's so many angles. It was fun. I plan on redoing all the worn out emblems.
Hey btw. Howd you get your door chrome off. Im talking about the one in the middle, you can see it in the picture. Is it bolted on behind the door panel or can you pop it off carefully?

Sooo. I think I took this too far ( LOWWW!!! )
I redid the bottom end. I had Napa press my ball joints, for $15 each they actually cleaned my lower control arm. Also upgraded sway bar bushing (universal kit from autozone)...the top felt good so left it for now and the brakes are coming soon.
I painting behind the grill right now, after I slap that back on Im going to hook my gas tank back up and hopefully I will see if I dropped it too far. I might have to flair my fenders. hah.

Re: 1970 Corona Mark ii DLX
how did those sway bar bushings work out for you .. did u have to do any mods to fit em ?
Re: 1970 Corona Mark ii DLX
oh those mofos slipped right on. It was the only kit they had ($12). So im guessing its a pretty universal bolt they fit on.

Re: 1970 Corona Mark ii DLX
Im having problem with fuel delivery. I replaced the external electric fuel pump, filter and the fuel lines from the pump to the carb. I'm going to replace the fuel lines from the tank to the pump this weekend.
I recently redid my fuel tank and am wondering If I messed anything up.
Let me start off with this:
This is what is shown for my fuel pump. But on my tank I dont have fuel lines coming from this part. From my research that part should be the fuel sending unit. Which doesnt actually send fuel but just lets me know how much fuel I have right?
The screws on that plate are stripped pretty bad and cannot get it off without drilling. But is there a chance that that could affect the fuel pressure?
Anyone have any tips or help?

The links come in different lengths with urethane bushings, so measure what you have and away you go. From Energy Suspension, they are Cadmium(?) coated and are much beefier than stock.Lope70Mark2 wrote:oh those mofos slipped right on. It was the only kit they had ($12). Then measure your bar diameter and get the mount bushings too. It makes a noticeable difference - not so much in overall handling, but in transistion and in esses where there are conscutive turns in both directions. Sometimes the mounts take some modification though, so don't assume that it will be a simple bolt-on for them.
Most larger auto parts stores, especially the chain stores (Shucks/O'Reilly?Checker, AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc) ususlly carry a complete assortmant.

Thats good to know. The only other time I bought end link bushings it came in a full kit, so I guess I must have gotten lucky with that. Hells yea!

Re: 1970 Corona Mark ii DLX
Got a sweet 50/60's era roof rack. Pics will be posted shortly.
I think I effed my gas tank up trying to fix it. I dont know. Ive been super busy so I havent had much time to test that theory.
Anyone know if I will mess anything up if i attach a vacuum pump/air compressor up to the fuel line and try to clear it?

How'd you F it up? No, it won't hurt it by attaching a vacuum pump or air compressor to it.Lope70Mark2 wrote:I think I effed my gas tank up trying to fix it. I dont know. Ive been super busy so I havent had much time to test that theory.
