"Beastie" My MKII Corona MX22 Coupe
Hi everyone!
I just found this website and thought I would show you all my current project!
"Beastie" is my 1972 MarkII MX22 Corona Coupe.
She was my first ever car, she hasn't been used for many years. Unfortunately she has been sitting in the yard, being abandoned. So, I have just found a shed to put her in, and the work is just beginning!
Here are some pics...
So there she is, I am on the hunt for parts, if anyone knows where I may be able to get some, please let me know, that would be great!!

Re: "Beastie" My MKII Corona MX22 Coupe
Hi guys, thanks for the replies! Yeah she is an I6, has the 4M engine currently. I plan on keeping it , want to keep things pretty original, but may modify it depending on costs eg triple mikunis..
My dodgy husband started her up the other day...after she has been sitting there in the weather, untouched for prob 10 years....he just cranked her over, no oil, no checks..so lets hope nothing is broken
Will be doing an engine check soon to test everything plus electrics so we can pull engine out to paint engine bay.
We started pulling out old bog and rust the other day, she has some big holes, will have to combine welding, fibreglass and bog to fix her up, thankfully I have some great helpers to guide and help along the way.
Still looking for some parts, I am a bit stuck for the chrome (?) trim that goes around the black section which surrounds the tail light (if that makes sense!) Also, I know there should be a badge around the boot lock, but have no idea what badge it is
Also looks like I will need a new rubber seal for rear window, new trims to surround windscreen....some interior parts also..dash clock (mine has a rev counter where it should be).
My Corona has the park brake under the dash, the old style pull out ones...all of the coronas that I see have the park brake in the middle...anyone know why they used this style of brake, or if there are any other models they put this on?
I've rambled enough for now....any thoughts are much appreciated!!

Seals and trim, that's going to be a tough one. But luckily your in Australia, so its probably easier to find corona parts. But sometimes ebay has some random hard-to-find parts (but never cheap).
And my rt62 has the under dash pull-style e-brake.

Re: "Beastie" My MKII Corona MX22 Coupe
Well the official work has begun, will be a slow job as I am only putting in one night a week, but it will be worth the wait!!
We have pulled a fair bit off Beastie, looking a bit naked now! Found plenty of rust to keep us busy. Also found plenty of bog and fibreglass that we didnt realise was there
Guards are generally straight, not a lot of panel beating to do, just rust repair - a fair bit of it! Here are a few pictures!
I am still searching for parts, I found a guy that has some trims and interior parts, but I am desperate for a rear window rubber and the rear garnish trim (chrome strip)
Any thoughts are always welcome!!
