New From Reno, NV with a 70 deluxe sedan
I bought my Corona about a week ago for $1000, after selling my Camry All-Trac(good riddance).
It needs interior help, and needs the chrome polished, and the trunk latch fixed. Other than that, its a 43 year old Toyota in MINT condition, with 75009 Original miles.
My name's Logan, tell me what you guys think!
How it sat the day I picked it up.

Got it off the Trailer.

Got it in the garage, to bleed the brakes, and start some paint resto!

Bleeding the super spongey brakes, got it nailed down to a bad m/c.

Ajax, and some hard shell carnauba wax, and here is the before/after.

Interior is kinda rough.

8R-C still runs and drives like a champ, started in 6 cranks after sitting 6+ months.

A couple of goodies I found in the trunk. Ecstatic, needless to say.
Original Tool kit, COMPLETE with OE touch up paint.

Close up of touch up paint.

And that's all I've got for now. I'm hoping to find some parts on this site, as well as share my progress!

Thanks, I'm hoping this forum can be of some help. Hoping to find a nice dash pad, rather than fab my own. Front seats, and an oem mirror would be great starters.

I'm starting to think I'm going to have to do a little bit of fabrication.

I've got a hilux to rob a few parts from, or or I'll just make one work. I intend on swapping a 4age into it, and lowering it a little. T50 trans, and a gts corolla rear end.

I am on the fence about whether I want to go with the 4agze(supercharged) or a 4age with dual side draft carbs, or individual throttle bodies. I also am planning on reupholstering the rear seats, installing some custom upholstered door cards and headliner, and putting in fresh carpet.

Did a little project this weekend, and made a rising sun vinyl for one of my headlights. Here's how it went!
Started with a roll of red vinyl film. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Printed out a black rising sun flag as a stencil.

Then extended the beams, and cut it out to lay out on the vinyl.

Cut it out and stuck it to the headlight. Used a heat gun and a little bit of soapy water to help it adhere.

Then put it all back together. Here is the final product.

Not yet. I'm in the process of filling the negative space with white pinstriping paint.

Re: New From Reno, NV with a 70 deluxe sedan
I saw your yellow Corona parked in Carson City in a store parking lot along highway 50 just east of downtown about 4 years ago. I was on my way out to Fallon, Nevada. I stopped to get a close look at the car and was impressed at how relatively nice the yellow paint still was. I live in the Placerville, California area and have a '73 Corona Sedan and Wagon and will likely be selling the '73 Sedan in the next month or two.

If I had some extra money, I'd be interested in picking it up from you.
