RT78?! Hi from California - Noob parts question?
Hi - I'm Doug from northern California (north bay). I don't actually have a vintage Corona at the moment, but am considering getting one (again). My first car was a 1971 Corona Mark II Wagon which I had painted gloss black. With some help, I got a 5-speed manual in it (had to modify the transmission support cross-member) and it ended up with an 18R-GE (was very loud!
).
So, many years later, I'm thinking about getting another one. BUT, i know getting parts was somewhat difficult back in the 80's - I can't imagine doing that now.
Anyone have ideas on how difficult it is to source stuff like rubber/gaskets etc these days? Any contacts, sources or suppliers in Japan? I may not want to take the plunge if it's too difficult.
Thanks!
