How do you tell 8R's and 18r's a part?
Im asking cause my new engine mounts arnt right and everywhere says they are. My old mounts look more like a 18r celica mounts. I'm confused lol

I can't help on this one. I only know 20 and 22R/REs, and a bit about 5/6/7Ms, and JZs. Plus a boatload about SBCs and a bit about BBCs, and Ford and MOPAR V8s.

From the pictures ive seen 8/18r's look the same on the outside.

But heres a pic anyway.
I looked all over the internet for the motor mounts every place has the one thats not right for my car listed. I dont know if their differnt cause its a MarkII but the parts places have them listed as the same for both the regular corona and the markII, the same part number applies to most 70's toyota cars and trucks besides the corolla. I did find that 71 celica's have a differnt mount and so does the 73 corona and they share a part number also. So i bought the one for the 73 corona. Thought that info might be useful
Part number for the mounts that are wrong for me is DEA#2407
The other one is DEA#2743 for the right and DEA#2745 for the left

The engine numbers a stamped into the block right above the fuel pump.
