BTW Welcome to the forum.
You should drop in the 22re from that celica I can see in the back of the first pic in this beast.
You should have a R series motor and a 22r should go in pretty easy.

i think is a 69
i was looking at a 69 corona brochure on japanesecar forum and is exactly like mine, i didnt have the title at the time of purchase that why i didnt know.
I took the engine block and tranny out. the engine block is for a 3r and the tranny is a 4 speed.

i dont know how usable the block is but the tranny looks in good shape.
i dont know what the numbers are, if someone knows please share some light.

looks like uve been busy lol i wish i knew about the numbers on their but i hope someone on here does
Re: Elius 69 or 68 corona?
Im going to guess its a w40 if thats what your looking for. You can swap over a w50 without any mods. But you might have to make the shifter hole alittle bigger. They liked to place the shifters in different spots for different cars/trucks.

numbers in tranny
im taking the 22re and 5 speed tranny from my 85 celica and going install it on my corona, i was just wondering about the numbers.
The tranny is 4 speed i dont know how reliable it is, but im going to put it for sale. Someone at 1stgencelica told me that the diff on my corona wont take the punch of the 22r is that true?

Re: Elius 69 or 68 corona?
here are the specs
3R
67 (90) at 5,000 rpm hp
142 (105) at 3,400 rpm tq
1960–1968
22R-E
84 (112) at 4,600 rpm hp
192 (142) & 3,400 rpm tq
1985–1995
not much difference a tad bit more tq and hp i would say just stay away from burning rubber lol

That celicas rear dif would be kinda a bitch to install but in the end would be the best thing. I would say the oem could take it.
Maybe a ae86 sr5 rear end would be the best bet, but you would have to do a 4 point suspension swap tho.

You do have a 69 model and the 4spd you have is not a W40.
Cheers Brett.
